An eastern Tennessee teacher has been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and resigned his job.
Blount County deputies arrested 38-year-old John Daniel Lynn of Alcoa on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor for possession of child pornography, and one count of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor for distribution of child pornography.
WVLT-TV in Knoxville reported that Lynn was booked in the Blount County Detention Facility on bonds totaling $75,000 pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. October 18th.
Deputies say a forensic exam of Lynn's home computer turned up images and videos of child pornography.
Director of Schools Rob Britt says Lynn taught fourth grade at Prospect Elementary School and has resigned from his position.
