Sullivan County students will be riding new buses in the fall.

The school board voted Thursday night on who will take over the contract left by Holston Bus Company.

The County decided to contract out three local companies to provide those buses. One company will handle about 30 buses, while the other two will split the remaining vacancies.

We're told all of those companies already have contracts with the school district.

"They're going to be adding some additional routes," said Dr. Jubal Yennie, the director of schools. "They're just going to be taking over some routes that the Holston Bus Company is letting go."

Yennie told us the contracts will cost the school district about $38,000 dollars.
