A Sullivan County man has been ordered to repay Tennessee after committing fraud to gain TennCare benefits.

The Office of Inspector General announced the sentencing on 39-year-old George Dease, Jr of Kingsport on Monday. He was arrested and charged with TennCare fraud and two counts of theft of service.

Dease got TennCare benefits by falsely claiming that his minor son lived with him. Hes has been ordered to repay $6,831.19 plus $400 in fines. He also has to close his TennCare account.
