STOLEN ITEMS
BRISTOL, Tenn. -

The Bristol, Tennessee Police department is working to return thousands of dollars worth of yard equipment to their rightful owners.

Adam Vaughan and Roxanne Mershon, both of Bristol, are being charged with possession of stolen property after being accused of taking more than a hundred items from work trucks, yards, and home garages.

People filed in to the Bristol Police Department throughout Tuesday evening to retrieve their stolen items from the police garage.

All of the stolen property was valued at more than $50,000.

Police tell us that items were reported missing from parts of east Bristol as far back as late October.

On Monday police recovered the items and brought them to their garage.

Police finished handing out items late Tuesday afternoon, but they say they will resume their recovery efforts the following morning.

If you believe you were a victim of one of the burglaries, the police ask that you don't come directly to the station; instead, they need you to fill out a police report in the jurisdiction in which the property is beloved to be stolen, and they will contact you.
