CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Many areas of the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga are going smoke-free next month.

According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, a smoking ban that applied to only areas of seating last year is being expanded for this year's event.

Friends of the Festival President Chip Baker says informing people of the restrictions will be a process. If someone lights up in a non-smoking area, the smoker will be handed a card explaining the new rules and will be directed to a place where smoking is allowed.

Riverbend will run from June 7-15.
