SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. -

The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office is putting some cars up for auction.

The department says the proceeds will go to help fight drugs.

The department has eight vehicles that were seized from drug investigations.

Officers say the cars were used in the buying or selling of the drugs.

These cases have made it through the court process and all information about each of these vehicles can be found online on Govdeals.com.

"Whatever we make from this auction will be placed back into that drug fund" said public information officer Leslie Earhart. "And that money will be used to purchase equipment and other items needed to fight the drug problem within the county."

Anyone interested is asked to take a look, and if they have any questions they can call the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department at (423) 279-7500.

If you want to schedule an appointment to inspect one of the cars, those inspections have to be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
