Flood damage continues to hurt the wallets of businesses and homeowners alike in Kingsport and Sullivan County, but help is on the way.
Starting Tuesday, the U.S. Small Business Administration will have temporary offices set up in the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce to help businesses and residents who sustained flood damage get a low interest disaster loan.
We found out that could go a long way for businesses like the Todd and Dossett law firm on West Center Street.
They are still cleaning up what was left behind. "Up to this time we've been paying for this out of our pockets which is pretty tough, particularly since up to this time we have not received a dime from insurance," said Thomas Dossett of Todd and Dossett, P.C.
Any flood victim can apply for a loan at the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce starting Tuesday, August 6 through Thursday, August 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The offices will not be open on Sunday.
