A fire is under investigation in Russell County, Virginia.
Crews responded to the fire at 6:00p.m., to a home on Highway 19 in Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
According to Jess Powers, Russell County Emergency Management and Hazardous Materials Coordinator, the fire was so intense that it melted the vinyl siding off the adjacent home, headlight covers from a car in the back yard, and a message off a nearby billboard.
Two residents, a dog, and a cat, escaped the structure without injury.
The American Red Cross, Mountain Empire Chapter has assisted the family with their immediate needs.
