Former BVU leader to receive $277K severance package

BRISTOL, Va. -

Former BVU Authority President, Wes Rosenbalm was given a six figure severance package.

 Rosenbalm will be paid one year's salary which is $202,000 dollars. In addition, he will receive vacation and sick time of almost $60,000 dollars.

The utility will also pay his health insurance for one year at a cost of around $15,000 dollars.

In exchange for accepting the severance deal, Rosenbalm cannot discuss details of his departure or the circumstances of why he resigned.
  

The Washington County, Virginia Sheriffs office is investigating the utility's finances but are not focusing on any individual.
