BRISTOL, Tenn./Va. -

Parking & Traffic

Rhythm & Roots has taken over four blocks of downtown Bristol and all of the side streets between Volunteer Parkway and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

State street is closed to traffic. Lee Street is closed as well, as are Moore Street and Piedmont Avenue.

5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Streets are also barricaded.

New this year, Cumberland Street has limited access and is closed between Lee Street and Martin Luther King Blvd.

We took a tour of the area Friday afternoon -- access to downtown by car is very limited. Police are telling us that if you don't need to come downtown this weekend, try to avoid the area.

If you are coming to Rhythm & Roots, there are shuttle options available. A shuttle costs $10 for the whole weekend. Click here for a list of where you can catch a shuttle.

Prohibited Items

Another thing you need to be aware of when you come to enjoy Rhythm & Roots -- there is a list of things you cannot bring to the festival.

That list includes:

Pets
Coolers
Illegal substances
Weapons of any kind

You are encouraged to bring camping chairs, but you must keep them with you at all times, so no staking out a spot and leaving your chair behind is allowed.

In the event of rain, rain gear and umbrellas are encouraged.
