Weymouth Sluss has been a volunteer with the American Red Cross for 20 years.
Sluss left his Kingsport office bound for Fayetteville, Tennessee to access the damage and report back to the Red Cross so others can determine if more volunteers are needed. "Well you're going to see tornado damage, you're going to see whatever floods there." said Sluss "You're going to see whatever damage has been done."
Sluss and other volunteers are looking for a place to stay. He says he usually is able to find a hotel or shelter.
This is not his first mission. Sluss helped with the floods in Nashville back in 2010.
