RICHMOND, Va. -

Wednesday will be a step forward in the recount of the race for Virginia's Attorney General.  We've learned, a three-judge panel will hold a preliminary hearing for that recount.

You may remember, Republican Mark Obenshain requested a recount of the November 5th general election in which his opponent, Democrat Mark Herring, was ruled the winner by 165 votes.

Obenshain's office says during Wednesday's hearing, it will propose that December 18th and 19th be set as dates for the recount.

The hearing will be held in Richmond Circuit Court at ten o'clock in the morning.
