BRISTOL, Tenn. -

It all started in April when a recall was issued on faulty ignition switches on some Chevrolets, Pontiacs and Saturns. Owners of those cars have expressed anger about lengthy delays in the repair process.

But, Bill Gatton Chevrolet/Cadillac Chief Operating Officer, Chris Lee stresses that this issue is not the dealership's fault. "The parts aren't coming in," Lee said. "One of the reasons that the parts aren't in it's specific to each vehicle so by the serial number each car has to have that ignition switch replaced and so you may order yours today we may order it for you today but it may not come in for three weeks."

Lee urges customers waiting on recall repairs to be patient. When the parts do come in, the ignition switch replacement is only a 30 to 45 minute repair.
