PetTacular beach party benefits Bristol Humane Society

KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The PetTacular Beach Party was a big hit with the live music of the M.J. Becks band and a delicious beach-themed buffet.

The event, which benefits the Bristol Humane Society, was held at Ridgefields Country Club in Kingsport Friday evening.

Festivities included a fashion show, featuring the latest spring outfits from area merchants.  Many four-legged friends also participated.

Organizers say it costs $76.02 to spay/neuter just one animal. "Our purpose is controlling the pet population," said Susan Taylor with the Margaret B. Mitchell Spay/Neuter Clinic in Bristol. "And it's one dog and one cat at a time is what we say. So, we are 501(c)3 and we live on writing grants and doing fundraisers."
