SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. -

A new truck is now making the rounds for Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee.

The new refrigerated truck will replace one of the food bank's older trucks.

The truck was part of a grant from the David Tepper Charitable Foundation.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee says the truck will allow them to pick up more local food donations to be redistributed. "A lot of the food that we get donated locally is refrigerated, so this truck is very important to us. It is our largest refrigerated truck that we have now, and it's on the road right now picking up food," adds Kathy Smith with Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee.

We're told 49 food banks applied to get four new trucks. Second Harvest says it's fortunate to be one of the four recipients.
