MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

A Murfreesboro woman has pleaded guilty in the deaths of her two children who police say were left inside of a hot car.

Samantha Harper pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of attempted aggravated child neglect. She was sentenced to eight years for each count, but will only be required to serve 30 percent of her sentence if she does not violate any of the conditions of her release.

Harper was accused of putting her 2 and 3-year-old children in the car, and then going inside and falling asleep in August 2012.
