The heavy rain is causing more problems for a North Carolina highway.
A mud slide on Wednesday took down a 250-foot stretch of one lane on Highway 194 South. By Friday all three lanes collapsed.
Engineers from North Carolina's Department of Transportation are doing core drillings.
Jerry Combs tells us they're trying to determine what caused the mud slide. He says the core drillings tell them what's under the road, and what they need to make repairs.
Combs tells us they plan is to sub contract the job.
