KINGSPORT, Tenn. -

Two local colleges are finding new homes in Kingsport.

Monday, the Kingsport Higher Education Commission announced Milligan College and Tusculum College will be joining the city's Academic Village.

The new partnerships will mean more courses and scheduling options for students.

We learned the colleges will offer degrees in business, nursing, education, among others. Masters degrees will also be offered.

"There are courses that we have looked at and said, 'We need these.' We have new programs, we have existing programs that work for the betterment of our region overall," said John Williams, the chair for Kingsport's Higher Education Commission.

Tusculum will begin classes this fall, and Milligan will offer classes starting in January.
