'20 or more' one-pot meth labs discovered in Sullivan County
A domestic violence arrest led to the discovery of a large meth lab at a Sullivan County home.
The sheriff's office says officers were called to a home on 11-E Monday night for a domestic violence call and arrested a man.
When they returned Tuesday to inform the people inside that the man had been released, they noticed the door was open. Deputies saw several people inside who appeared to be intoxicated.
Officers entered the home to check on the people, and that's when they found the meth lab.
"They found several bottles of meth that were actually being cooked, approximately twenty or more bottles," said Sullivan County Sheriff Wayne Anderson.
Charges are pending in this case. Members of the Tennessee Meth Task Force were on the site to clean up the lab.
