Dozens of people were at the Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport on Saturday to try some tasty treats and raise money for a good cause.
Make-A-Wish of East Tennessee hosted its annual Chocolate Festival. The festival featured more than 30 different chocolate treats from dozens of local vendors.
There was also a kids zone, silent auction, and a live band for people to enjoy.
We're told all the proceeds from the event go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee. The Chocolate Festival plays a big role in helping them grant wishes.
"We raise about $30,000 a day when we do this, and that goes to children's wishes. With the average wish, we spend about $6,800, that means we get to grant about six wishes every time we do this," said Chocolate Festival Chairman Craig Cox.
We're told the Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee grants around 90 wishes every year and around 35 of those come from the Tri-Cities area.
