LUNCH BOX PROGRAM HAS FUNDING ISSUES
ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. -

A program in Hawkins County that makes sure children don't go hungry during the summer is short on money this year.

We've learned Of One Accord Ministry was not able to receive a $5,000 grant this year to help pay for their Lunch Box Bus program.

Officials tell us that money helps pay for the fuel costs and extra employees who operate the traveling meal program. "We'll go as long as the money lasts. We're praying that everything works out that we can continue the whole summer but if the money runs out then there's not much we can do," said Rita Jones with Of One Accord Ministry.

Officials tell us if you'd like to help you can either volunteer or donate money specifically for the Lunch Box Bus program. Click here to visit their website for more information.
