KINGSPORT, Tenn. -

A Kingsport man will spend 15 years in prison for his role in oxycodone and money laundering conspiracy.

Federal prosecutors say 30-year-old Richard Harvey led a large oxycodone dealing scheme dating back to May of 2008. Harvey planned to distribute an estimated 10-thousand milligrams of the drug in east Tennessee.

Many of the pills that were sold were from Michigan, Florida, Georgia and then taken back to Tennessee. Investigators say Harvey also sent several wire transfers to other "co-conspirators" in Detroit, Michigan.
