KINGSPORT, Tenn. -

The Kingsport Town Center hosted the 5th Annual Back to School Expo.

It included more than 90 vendors, free entertainment, demonstrations and all kinds of activities for kids.

Parents were able to pick up all of the information they needed to get their kids ready for school to start.

We talked to one parent who took full advantage and signed her son up for several activities in the fall. Jessica Sensabaugh says, "He likes sports so we try to keep him involved in the sports and he's going to try karate and we've talked to some people about the soccer league. So, there's all kinds of things around he can do."

Several stores in the mall were offering discounts on back-to-school items during the event.

Kingsport City Schools will be back in session for the 2014-15 school year on Monday, August 4.
