Jury selection has begun in the corruption trial of former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell and his wife.

McDonnell was surrounded by cameras when he arrived at the courthouse in Richmond this morning.

His wife, Maureen, arrived separately.

The couple is accused of accepting more than$ 165-thousand in gifts and loans from the CEO of a company in exchange for help promoting products.

McDonnell has repaid approximately $120-thousand in gifts and loans, but has denied breaking any laws.
