The Blue Plum Festival in Johnson City is getting closer, and Wednesday organizers announced the bands and changes that you'll see this year.
They have several acts that will be spread across three stages the Fountain Square Stage, Southern stage, and the Jazz Stage.
Among the new features they are adding a Storytelling Stage to this year's festival. They will also still have popular events like the Blue Plum 5K and the Urban Art Throw Down.
Jenny Lockmiller is with the festival and she tells us every year it bring around 80,000 people to downtown Johnson City. "It's a huge economic development driver for this area, and it's also just a great way to showcase all the beautiful architecture, the restaurants, and everything else we have," she said.
Organizers are still looking for volunteers to make this year's festival possible.
The entire concert line up will be available on BluePlum.org.
