JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -

A Johnson City man is facing charges after police responded to a disturbance on East Watauga Avenue.

Police arrested Makalyn Simmons on Sunday. He's accused of causing more than $4,000 worth of damage in his mother's home.

Simmons is now charged with felony vandalism and resisting arrest.

Simmons is in the Washington County, Tennessee Detention Center.
