A Johnson City man faces charges after police say they received a call about a domestic assault.

Johnson City Police tell us the responded to a home on Hoover Street around 1:30am Saturday.

Officers tell us when they arrived they heard a woman screaming from the bedroom window.

We're told 32-year-old Jesse Parks saw officers and ran. Police say they eventually arrested him after a short chase.

The victim told officers Sparks broke her phone, choked her several times, bit her, and refused to let her leave the bedroom.

Jesse Sparks is charged with aggravated domestic assault, evading arrest, false imprisonment, and interference with an emergency call.
