JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -

Johnson City Commissioners will hold a third vote as well as a public input session on a proposal for stricter spay and neuter regulations.

That vote happens at the commission meeting Thursday night.

You may remember the ordinance before commissioners would hold pet owners responsible for dogs and cats found running loose in public.

The ordinance says pet owners who violate the code can either spay or neuter their animals or pay a $25.00 fine for an unaltered permit

If the code is violated twice owners will be required to spay and neuter the animals.
