JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -

Some area high school students were getting the feel of college on Wednesday during the 14th annual Hispanic Student Day at ETSU.

The school hosted students to give them an idea of ways to continue their education after high school.

Wednesday’s visit included a variety of speakers, tours of campus, lunch and a visit with the school's president Brian Noland. "It's also important because if we want to welcome some diversity and other ideas into ETSU and into the US, of course the Hispanic community is one that is very, very diverse," says event organizer Carolina Quiroga.

Other schools were also taking part in the event including King University, Milligan College, Northeast State and Walters State.
