Hiker rescued after storm
Rescuers spent the early morning hours rescuing a hiker who was caught in yesterday's storm.
We're told 53-year-old Nathan Lipsom was hiking on Low Gap Trail in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park on June 13 when the storm hit. A tree fell on Lipsom during the storm, which caused him multiple injuries.
A helicopter from North Carolina rescued him Friday evening because many trails were blocked due to downed trees.
Lipsom is recovering at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.
