The annual map of the meal gap results were released Monday by the Second Harvest Food Bank and it shows food insecurity still remains high in northeast Tennessee.
According to the data, 14.8% of people in the region don't know where their next meal is coming from. That includes more than 26,000 children.
In the state of Tennessee about 17% of people are food insecure. That's above the national average of 15.9%.
