Greeneville - Fireworks are illegal to shoot off within city limits.

Greene County - The sheriff's department tells us you are allowed to shoot fireworks off throughout the county.

Kingsport - Fireworks are illegal.

Sullivan County - Fireworks can be used between the hours of 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. throughout the year, but the hours are extended to midnight on July 4 and other holidays.

Johnson City - Fireworks are prohibited throughout the city.

Washington County, Tenn. - The sheriff's office says you are allowed to shoot fireworks off as long as you do it at a decent hour.

Elizabethton - You are allowed to set off fireworks from June 20 to July 5.

Carter County - The sheriff's office says you are allowed to shoot fireworks off as long as you do it at a decent hour.

Bristol, Tennessee / Bristol, Virginia - It is illegal to set off fireworks within city limits. You are allowed to use sparklers.

Unicoi County - The sheriff's office says you are allowed to shoot fireworks off as long as you do it at a decent hour.

Erwin - Fireworks are illegal.

Johnson County - The sheriff's office says you are allowed to shoot fireworks off as long as you do it at a decent hour.
