Fighting Breast Cancer in the Tri-Cities
$270,000 in grants are being provided to help fight breast cancer in our region.
The Tri-Cities affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is donating the money which will fund health education, screening, genetic testing, and more.
We've learned through the work of programs funded by Susan G. Komen, the 5 year survivor rate for women diagnosed with breast cancer has increased to 98%, up from a 74% survival rate in 1982.
