JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -

This is the time of year many high school students start finalizing their college plans and to help with that decision some area high school students were getting a taste of college Saturday at ETSU's Spring Open house.

Students and their families got to tour campus, talk with faculty members and ask questions about financial aid, admissions and academic courses.

"We had approximately 1,600 students and parents visiting with us today we hope they had an opportunity to learn about the different academic departments as well as well as go on a campus tour and learn more about living on campus and scholarships,” said Brian Henley, ETSU director of admissions.

Visitors also got a chance to take in the ETSU baseball game vs. Northern Kentucky.
