Parents sue school, teacher for $3M after "focus" written on ADHD student's forehead

The parents of a former Virginia student are taking legal action against a former teacher, the school's principal, and the school district, claiming that their son was discriminated against for having ADHD.

The lawsuit seeks $3 million after the teacher allegedly wrote focus on the student's forehead and told another kid to hit him when he says something "stupid," according to media reports out of Virginia Beach.

"My son told me he just grabbed the back of his neck to hold him still because he was moving away so that he could write allegedly on his forehead," the student's mother said.

The incident happened in September of 2016. The teacher was charged with assault and battery and resigned from teaching at the school.
