Eastman announced Friday their Kingsport plant is back online after a power failure last week that resulted in a waste water spill.
Eastman says that their current information shows the company will have a negative impact on it's shares by $0.05 and $0.10 per share.
They expect that their full-year earnings for 2014 per share to be between $6.70 and $7.00, excluding non-core and non-recurring items from this projection.
“I am very proud of the Eastman team for their quick and professional response to this unfortunate shutdown. As a result of their efforts, we experienced no serious injuries or impact to the environment,” said Mark Costa, Chief Executive Officer.
Eastman serves 100 countries and makes approximately 9.4 billion dollars.
Eastman says that the shutdown was restored with no serious injuries or impact to the environment.
