BRISTOL, Tenn. -

A Bristol, Tennessee crossing guard was hit by a car Thursday morning.

Authorities say Wayne Morris was struck by a car outside Holston View Elementary School just before 8:00 a.m. Thursday.

He was taken to the hospital where we're told he was treated and released.

Bristol, Tennessee police say he will be off from work for a few days but should be ok.

Sullivan County authorities say the driver was driving on King College Road with a frosted-over windshield and could not see the crossing guard in the road.

The investigation will be handed over the grand jury to determine if charges should be filed.
