UPDATE 10:20 a.m.: Virginia State Police say US Highway 23 in Wise County, VA is open to traffic.
The road was closed for several hours Monday morning after two tractor trailers crash at the bottom of Indian Creek Mountain.
The trucks are owned by the same company and were hauling liquid Nitrogen.
Troopers say one of the trucks lost its brakes and rear ended the other truck. One rig flipped over in the median and leaked approximately 1,000 gallons of liquid Nitrogen onto the ground.
One driver was taken to the hospital, but neither was seriously injured.
