A vacant seat on Bristol, Tennessee’s City Council will likely soon be filled.
City council members have agreed to appoint Jack Young to the seat vacated by the resignation of Ben Zandi.
Young ran in the recent election, but lost by 11 votes to incumbent Margaret Feierabend.
At the work session last week all four city council members agreed to appoint Young to the fifth seat. "I thought I would be a good candidate, but you never know what they look at for precedence. I know in the past they have looked for that, but I especially didn't expect to see so quickly comments made to support me," says Young.
The city council will move to officially appoint Young at their August 6 meeting.
