A man was robbed at home Tuesday night, after he opened his door to the suspect.

Bristol, Tennessee police said the victim was assaulted, tied up, and then robbed after the alleged attacker knocked on his door, pointed a shotgun at the victim and demanded money.

The victim told police he was tied to a chair, but was hit with the shotgun after he got loose.

Police said the attacker stole medicine, cash, an iPad, two cell phones and keys from the house on Big Valley Drive.

Police describe the suspect as a thin, 6-foot-tall white man with a scruffy beard and dirty blond hair.
