A local food pantry that helps others now needs your help.
The Bristol Emergency Food Pantry is running low on food and monetary donations. Many of the shelves are empty except for the food purchased by the non-profit organization.
Last year the pantry gave away $500,000 of food to 15,000 people according to director Jim White. "Our contributions of food and money have not come in. So far this year we have spent about $75,500, but we have only taken in about $35,500," he told us.
Food or money donations can be dropped off at the Bristol Emergency Food Pantry on Washington Street any time between 1 and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
