BOONE, N.C. -

     The Boone, North Carolina Police and Appalachian State University Police are asking for help to solve a break-in on campus.

     ASU police were called to a dorm room just after 4 A.M. Sunday to Appalachian Panhellenic Hall. Officers say a suspect pried open an exterior window to get into the room and then took several items.

        • Keep doors and windows locked even when you are at home.
        • Keep window shades or drapes drawn after dark.
        • If you see someone that’s acting suspicious, contact police and ask them to investigate.
