BRISTOL, Tenn./Va. -

A local company is investing in Bristol's future.

The Bank of Tennessee donated $100,000 to the Birthplace of Country Music Museum in downtown Bristol Tuesday morning.

Construction is expected to wrap up over the next couple of months. The museum will open its doors in August.

"We've had a commitment to the museum. Once the thing got up and you could see what was going to go on, we felt like it was in the bank's best interest to be active and involved in this," said David Wagner with the Bank of Tennessee.

The BCM is also kicking off the museum's "Name Your Seat" fundraising campaign. Contributors can purchase seats in the museum's 100-seat performance theater and the 64-seat orientation theater for $1,000 a seat.
