Bristol won five Pinnacle Awards from the Northeast Tennessee Tourism Association on Wednesday.
These awards were for special events according to Charlene Tipton Baker, Director of Marketing for Birthplace of Country Music Alliance and Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion.
The Bristol Convention & Visitors Bureau, Believe in Bristol, and Birthplace of Country Music shared the Pinnacle in the Hospitality Organizations Classification for Mumford & Sons' 2012 Bristol Stopover.
Baker says the Pinnacle for Special Projects, Municipalities Classification, went to the City of Bristol, Va. for "The Bristol Brand Taking It To The Streets" campaign. The Bristol Convention & Visitors Bureau earned the Pinnacle for Public Relations, Hospitality Organizations Classification for "Bristol Sign Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness."
Baker also says the City of Bristol, Tenn. Dept. of Community Relations was given the Public Relations Merit Pinnacle for "The Rails That Lead to Bristol."
The City of Bristol, Va. took home the Pinnacle in Special Projects, Municipality Classification for "The Bristol Brand Taking It to the Streets."
