ASHEVILLE, N.C. -

An Asheville woman has been charged with driving while impaired in the death of a woman on a moped.

Forty-five-year-old Kimberly Patience Folston was charged with DWI after the wreck Saturday night.

Asheville Police Sgt. Dave Romick says Folston's vehicle crossed the centerline of a road and struck a moped driven by 27-year-old Sierra Marie Allen of Arden.

Allen died at the scene. It was not clear if Folston has an attorney. She has a court hearing scheduled Oct. 10.
