BRISTOL, Tenn. -

One group was busy making Christmas lunch for people who would normally be alone for the holiday.

Terry Copenhaver with American Legion in Bristol, Tennessee tells us they are serving meals to more than 60 people in the community, including veterans who usually wouldn't have a meal or wouldn't have any visitors on Christmas.

The boxes were complete with ham, vegetables, dessert, and rolls.

The volunteers hand-delivered the meals and spent time with the person they delivered to. "They would be sitting at home by themselves without any meals or nobody to cook for them. This way, it's Christmas, they get a warm meal, and we send it off with lots of love," adds Copenhaver.

Copenhaver tells us they received several donations from local businesses that allowed them to be able to provide meals to those in need.
