BRISTOL, Va. -

VDOT is taking your input on proposed changes at Exit 7 off of Interstate 81 in Bristol, Virginia.

They held a public hearing Tuesday night on a proposed $6 million plan.

VDOT officials tell us the project would give drivers more options to make lane changes that are a bit tricky now. Those changes would happen in an area two-tenths of a mile long.

It's between Old Airport Road and Linden Drive. It would include widening the ramps, adding turn lanes and a traffic light.

VDOT is hoping to begin construction in November of 2013.
