Woman facing stolen check charges

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -

An investigation into a stolen check cashed at a Johnson City bank leads to charges against a Johnson City woman.

Vanessa Eggers is charged with one count of forgery, one count of theft of property over $1,000 and one count of theft of property under $500.

Police say Eggers was arrested in connection with a stolen check that was cashed at Regions Bank in January.

Eggers was taken to the Washington County Detention Center.

Her bond was set at $12,000.
