Wet leaves could be the cause of a wreck -- a car crashed into the kitchen of a Rogersville home Monday morning.
The Rogersville Police Department says the car was turning from Locus Street onto Gray Street when the driver lost control.
Officer Travis Field tells News 5 the roads were wet and, Field says, the driver was going too fast.
The car drove into a kitchen of the home where a 63-year-old woman was standing; she was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
A neighbor tells us there is a problem with people speeding in that area. "They need a guardrail for one thing. Speed bump or something through here," said Junior Burchfield.
We learned the driver was not injured and cited for failure to maintain proper control.
We are told the investigation is on going and more charges are pending.
