Wellmont Health System unveiled their new 40-foot health coach Wednesday in Kingsport.

This new mobile hospital will allow them to reach patients that otherwise might not be able to see a doctor because of where they live in the mountains.

The health coach is equipped to perform screenings for a wide range of medical issues, regardless of insurance. Physicians will be able to check bone density, perform ultra sounds and even do blood work.

Wellmont officials say this is a great thing. "It's quite an amazing coach, it really does allow us to do a plethora of screenings and allow us to determine a health status of an individual and help you get onto a plan," said President and CEO of Wellmont Health Systems, Denny DeNarvaez

Representatives from Wellmont told us that it was a nearly $700,000 investment.
